Caroline Burton, our hard-working Parish Clerk, retires at the end of October and the Parish Council has spent the Summer finding a suitable replacement, recently appointing Sarah Gresly to take over the role.
Sarah is currently getting up to speed with the workings of our lovely Village, but she is no stranger to the role however, as Old Parish Council is fortunate to have Sarah as their Parish Clerk too and that is where Sarah lives, with her husband and young family. Living in a different location to where you work is nothing new of course and that goes for Parish Clerks too, but it does make putting faces to names a bit more challenging which is why we thought it would be nice for everyone in the Parish to have the opportunity to meet with Sarah at a special event, before she takes her first Parish Council meeting on Wednesday 19th November 2025.
On Thursday 6th November 2025 at the Village Hall from 7pm, we have organised an informal drop-in event with drinks and nibbles provided, which will end around 8.30pm. Everyone in the Village is invited and encouraged to come to meet Sarah to put forward any questions, concerns or suggestions, or to just come and say hello. Parish Councillors will also be in attendance along with other representatives from the Parish giving you the opportunity to put forward comments and suggestions about wider topics.
