Hot off the heels of supporting Tom Robinson, and in advance of their appearance in the premiere of the film “Before It Was Cool: The Brooklyn Beat From Lauterbach’s”, Kenny Young & The Eggplants are coming back to East Farndon Village Hall on Thursday 29^th October 2026. Those who remember their previous appearance at the Village Hall in 2019 will know this opportunity to experience their New York-based Intergalactic Folk’n’Roll is not to be missed. AI says: “Kenny Young & The Eggplants is a whimsical, indie-pop trio from Brooklyn, New York, known for their witty, humorous lyrics and catchy tunes.”, so it must be true. There will also be local support acts – The Tumbleweed Twins (aka Adam Bugla & Russell Burton), and Polly Burton. Doors open at 7pm, with first support on at 7.45pm.  There will be a licensed bar available (cash or card).

Our next Coffee Morning get together at the East Farndon Village Hall will be on Friday 30th October, from 10.30am to 12.00 midday. You are very welcome to join us to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, plus toasted tea cakes, a selection of books and a raffle. All money raised is donated to village charities / causes or other local charities. Everyone is welcome and entry is free. Many thanks for your ongoing support.

We are inviting everyone to join us at the East Farndon War Memorial on Sunday 8th November 2026 for our annual Service of Remembrance. Please gather on the path opposite the War Memorial on Main Street at 10.50am. You will be invited to step closer when the road is closed and the service begins at just before 11am. Everyone is also very welcome to join us afterwards in the Village Hall, where tea, coffee and cake will be be served. There is no charge for this, but there will be an opportunity to make a donation, which will go to the Royal British Legion. If you have any questions, please email our Parish Clerk, Sarah Gresly.

Water Pain! H2Off Yet Again! Please join us at an open public meeting with Anglian Water at East Farndon Village Hall on Thursday 12th November 2026. The meeting runs from 6pm to 9pm, please click the link below to view the event poster for more details. This is an unprecedented gathering of the most senior people at Anglian Water – a very rate opportunity for residents / customers to directly influence future decisions with the very people who make them. We hope to see you there so that you can present your views on the extensive issues that we have been experiencing in relation to water supply outages in East Farndon.

Hola! A Spanish wine-tasting event will take place at the East Farndon Village Hall on Saturday 14th November 2026, starting at 7.00pm, to raise funds for Marriott Green.

You will get the chance to sample six different wines, chosen by Mr Lee Knights, who will talk about each wine. The wines will be accompanied by Spanish sharing boards. Lee is a wine enthusiast, who has generously agreed to host this event for free. Before and after the wine-tasting, there will be a licensed bar and there will also be a raffle.

The event costs £20 per person. Places must be booked and paid for in advance by Friday 6th November 2026, so we know how much wine and food to buy. Tickets are available from Caroline or Russell Burton via WhatsApp or email marriottgreeneastfarndon@gmail.com. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements or allergies. Tables will be for six people, so if you want to book as a group, please book as a table for six, or let us know if you want to sit with friends, and we will try and accommodate.
