On Friday July 1st 2022, Judy Hodgetts will be giving the rescheduled talk about the two air crashes that happened in the village during World War II. Judy will be explaining how she investigated them and will tell you about the intrigue that surrounds one of the crashes.
Judy will be joined by Theresa Reed, who has been metal detecting the crash sites for many months, prior to them becoming protected. Theresa has found and catalogued lots of pieces of aircraft wreckage, including several personal items. She will be displaying these and talking about the finds.
The talk will be in the Village Hall, staring at 7.30pm and finishing by 9.30pm. On the evening, there will be an entrance fee of £5, which includes refreshments. All proceeds will be donated to the upkeep of the Village War Memorial.
Please come along to hear about the mystery and to see the finds!
