Preparation & Role of Jubilee Reps

To help us prepare for the upcoming Village Jubilee celebrations, the organising Committee has set up a network of Jubilee Reps, who will have a small number of assigned houses to visit. They will be calling on you to explain what’s happening, see how you might want to get involved, collect donations for the Fete, ask you to buy some Raffle Tickets, etc. The Reps will give you a copy of the the Farndon Matters Special Jubilee Issue which explains in writing the details of the event. The pdf version of this can be accessed and / or downloaded by clicking the link below,

Children Attending the Jubilee Picnic Lunch

Please let your Rep know if your children would like to attend the special Jubilee Picnic Lunch (Sat 1pm), specifying any dietary requirements. You can also email Caroline Burton or call her on 01858 466150.

We would also like to include children who are relatives or friends of residents of East Farndon, but we may need to charge a small fee for this, depending on numbers. Please let your Rep or Caroline Burton know by 21st May at the latest.

Here is How you can Help and Get Involved

If you would like to Volunteer to run a stall, a game or help with parking, for a couple of hours on the day, then please let your Rep know by 14th May.

If you can Make a Cake to be sold on the day, please let your Rep know and it will be collected, or you can drop it at the Village Hall on Friday 3rd June between 10am and 2pm. For all cakes, please label them clearly to indicate if they contain nuts, or if it is gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan or similar.

Your Rep will collect from you by 21st May any Donations you can make of,

  • Good condition Toys, Books, Games or Clothes for the Pre-Loved Shop
  • Bottles and Gift Bags for the Booze or Boos stall (either booze or not!)
  • Tombola / Raffle items and Plants that can be sold on the day

If you have a Musical Talent and would like to perform at the evening Music Event, please email Caroline Burton. We would like more singers – you don’t need to be a great singer, just prepared to have some fun!

Please prepare to take photos at the events. Alan Langley will be helping us to produce a post event Commemorative Jubilee Booklet. We will explain more about this nearer to the events.
